EDM electrode engraving, with over-burn dialled in.
Laser engraving of carbon graphite and copper electrodes for EDM sinking — raised or sunk characters, logos, year codes and 3D profiles, produced with any over-burn specification your spark gap requires. Fine detail your EDM shop can burn straight into hardened cavities.
Capabilities in detail
Graphite Electrodes
Precision laser etching on carbon graphite electrodes for EDM sinking operations, with clean, repeatable character detail.
Copper Electrodes
Copper and copper-impregnated electrodes engraved with fine detail for complex cavities, medical device tooling and iconography.
Over-burn Control
Raised or sunk characters produced to any specified over-burn allowance, so the burned cavity lands on dimension — not the electrode.

Common questions
What electrode materials do you engrave?
Carbon graphite, copper and copper-impregnated electrodes. Both raised and sunk character styles are available, engraved to your drawing.
What is over-burn and why does it matter?
Over-burn (spark gap) is the material the EDM process removes beyond the electrode surface. We engrave electrodes undersized or oversized to your specified over-burn so the finished cavity dimension is correct after burning.
How fine can the electrode detail be?
Minimum character height is 0.1 mm at a standard tolerance of ±0.05 mm — fine enough for regulatory symbols, small logos and dense text blocks.
Can you produce 3D profiled electrodes?
Yes. We engrave 3D logos, contoured symbols and dot patterns on profiled electrode faces for burning into curved cavity surfaces.
